Roberts is an incredibly talented geek. I was on a similar ride for a while in the 70′s, however I used my thumb and wandered through much of the US West. Wish there had been more technology available beyond say, pay phones (even by the 80′s it had come a long way for consumers and hobbiests). Met a lot of real interesting people along the way. Regarding romance potential, at that time in my life it was “Wherever you go – there you are!”
